Old thread, but I thought I would add some more recent data points. I had an issue where a Sears transaction ($2K) never showed up. Here is the time line to get resolved:
4/13 - Order Placed
5/25 - Reported as missing transaction via MileagePlan Shopping site
5/26- After initial response, replied back with pdf file of order conf email
6/3 - Response that Sears "approved" order
6/23 - Transaction posted to MileagePlan Shopping Account (included correct x2 on purchase, but showed post date of 6/3)
6/25 - Miles posted to MileagePlan Account
9/30 - Order placed
10/15 - Reported as missing
10/16 - After initial response, replied back with pdf file of order conf email
10/19 - Acknowledgement of receipt of conf email
10/30 - Credit request send to account
11/04 - Transaction posted to MileagePlan Shopping Account
