By the way – and sorry for the OT – do you happen to know whether the +1 extra bag for StarAlliance Gold also applies when flying on the Light fare, which normally allows for zero check-in luggages?

It would seem that way based on how the FAQ is written, however I am asking for confirmation as the new-ish cheapest fare with Lufthansa allows for no free check-in luggage, even for Gold members.
