I have nevwer been rejected by a scanner.....but then I never tried it in HAM, BRU or VIE...
If there is no status, C or F class on the boarding pass: Red light and long beep. You can then show the card to the agent at the security gates and they will open the gates for you. That's what I also do for taking colleagues through the fast track in HAM or VIE.
In both airports they have an agent sitting right next to the fast track gate.
