Singapore
She certainly is a "fine city", a joke that locals and visitors will understand. We had exactly 24h00min to explore Singapore. We hopped in a cab and went directly to the Westin. We walked around the Marina Bay area and took in the sights and sounds before returning to the Westin to crash. The next day we took the MRT to the Eye and wondered around in the gardens at the Sands hotel. We wrapped up a day with a stroll back to the hotel to hop on our next flight. Obviously we did not get to see a whole lot in Singapore but it did make as an excellent connection city.

For our short stop here we decided to check out the Westin as the fiancee loves pools, especially infinity pools perched on the roof of fancy hotels. Its proximity to the Marina Bay area as also ideal. The check-in is on the 25th? floor and we where assigned a room on the 28th floor, an upgraded suite. The hotel also features an executive lounge that serves both breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres. Since we arrived at the hotel at around 6pm we went straight to the lounge to enjoy a few beers and hors d'oeuvres. The evening as well as the morning selections are excellent and the lounge is definitely a step above North American executive lounges. The next day we enjoyed the infinity pool as a way to cool off from our adventuring around Marina bay. All in all the hotel is in a great area, easy access to the MRT and very near Marina bay. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area.
