Santorini
We landed on the Island around 2pm and decided to grab a gab rather then mingle with the hoards of people jumping on the buses. Considering our hotel was not in the central area I figured this to be much easier. Cost was approx 25 Euros for the trip. There are many great Restaurants in the central area and our favorite was the Pelican Kipos. The food, wine and ambiance was hard to beat. We rented an ATV for a day and the cost was approx 30 Euros including insurance and approx 10 euros to fill the tank. Exploring the island by ATV is actually quiet fun and its a very efficient way of getting around. This might sound crazy to some but is very common on the island.

The Hotel Solaris is slightly off the beaten path. It is approx 200m down the road from the main central square, however the cost savings versus hotels in the central area makes it very attractive. The hotel was converted from apartments at some point so is very roomy compared to European standards. The walk to the central area is approx 5 minutes. We rather enjoyed the hotel and the price was impossible to beat.
