The trip was booked as a Air Canada SuperElite (Given Priority Reward Access to the AC flights) and total cost was 155,000 miles + 360$ in taxes per person. The SE reward also waives fuel surcharges on AC legs.

This trip if booked as a multi-city (1way) trip would come out to approx 37,000$ for two passengers.
