They were founded several years ago on the basis of ecologically responsible laundry. They use high quality soaps/softeners that will not leave your clothing smelling like cheap perfume or bleached out. They also do a great job with special instructions like air-drying items that shouldn't be put in a machine, etc. But they are in Palermo, which is nowhere near the InterContinental.
Recently they opened another branch in Manhattan (called the Eco-Laundry Company) and have been doing quite well there. The guy who started it is a friend of mine (who had moved to Buenos Aires and now lives between Buenos Aires and New York) and told me he started it because he was sick of places ruining his clothes and making them smell like chemicals.
