(Actually landing was odd as there was no real announcements and so the crew weren't even strapped in - one was in the lavatory!)
I experienced this the other day in Arrival to SLC. they were collecting trash and the Lead FA looked out the window saw the ground about 100ft away and yelled "Flight Attendants, seats NOW." it was pretty awakening, that flight also had a 5 hour delay so we ended up landing at 240am!
