About 20 years ago, I tried to bring in some salami from Italy. A beagle caught me and it was taken from my luggage. It was shrink-wrapped and i'm not sure what i said to the agent or what happened from there, other than losing the salami. I don't remember getting any warning and I know i didn't pay a fine.

My question for all of you is should i even bother applying for GE? I only fly internationally a few times a year, if that but it's a better value than Pre-check but I don't want to spend $100 for nothing. Thanks in advance.
