I agree with AATrout about Otter Green-- I occasionally get stopped by people admiring my otter green bag. Mine is about a decade old at this point and the color gets better with age. Although I rarely carry it anymore because the bag itself is incredibly heavy empty...
This is a really astute observation. Filson gear is solid but heavy. Their bigger checked bags are not ideal for air travel, great for road trips. I’ll put the scales on my aging and solid garment bag and see what that shows. I had a Filson XL rolling duffle for a while. I think at 36x13.75x14" it topped 12lbs empty. The Patagonia Black Hole 120L wheeled duffle is only a bit smaller 31x15x14" but it weighs only 3lbs 11oz.
