I've been both PM and GM in the past, but my PM days were pre-DM and pre-FCM, so easy upgrades on pretty much any route except LAX... My last year as GM before jumping ship to AS was 2013 and I only received one upgrade the entire year, and that was on a last minute full-Y fare.
