Delta Vacation fares are considered exception fares according to Delta. You don't earn MQD's on the package price, you earn it on a percentage of the mileage flown. Namely 20% of the miles.

So an 8000 mile trip should earn 1600 MQD's.

Although, I'm not entirely sure if Delta always uses unpublished fares in Delta Vacations packages. If the base fare of the plane ticket is exposed somewhere, I suspect you will earn MQD's on that base fare (and airline imposed surcharges, if any). At any rate, you do not earn MQD's on the full package price.
