If I was going somewhere with frequent type changes on the route, I might choose a different routing with operated more reliably by an aircraft with a less horrible cabin.
Not just do the vast majority of Y travellers not even know what aircraft they're booking on, but of those that do, I'd wager that they're actually more likely to pick the Dreamliner because they've heard it's new and 'state-of-the-art' than pick the 777 because it's wider.
