After utilizing the shuttle to the airport I think it's an invaluable service, especially if you're coming FROM the airport. The hotel is extremely hard to get to and just having the hotel vehicle (a very nice shuttle van with leather seats) know exactly where to go is worth the peace of mind alone, let alone the very competitive rate of THB200. They also take a "back" route to Suvarnabhumi - no traffic. Door to door in 15-20mins easy, in the middle of the day.
Although it would be nice if it was FOC for an airport "hotel" (more like a resort) - I can understand why they're charging for the shuttle. It's basically on-demand right now, at all hours. With little to no guests going to the airport, it is a loss - both me and Enhancements took it at separate times and we were both the only people. I'm actually grateful they provide this, obviously they're not going to make money off it until there's volume and who knows, if it takes off and becomes popular they might waive the fee.
This property is first and foremost a golf resort - the airport hotel angle and "spa" (basically a suite turned into a temporary space - Room 0215) were afterthoughts. So there you have it, an odd mixture. The view from the suite was incredible though. The green, forest and direct view of planes landing.
I'm almost hesitant to write any more about this place, for the fear of bloggers (and their readers) invading it like what they did to LM Chiang Rai.
