Hi, I'm a newbie to this particular forum.
I've been learning a bit on accumulating Asiamiles via credit card spending (thanks Percy!) but still fairly clueless as to making the best use of AM, plus continuing to accumulate them.
I often make overseas online purchases, so had a great love relationship with Fubon, which unfortunately will end today.

Next one up is DBS MC, and HSBC Visa Signature (don't like it that their limits and promos are so convoluted).
As for actually using the AM, I have a number of short trips which are all taken care of by AM already. However, I need to plan 2 long-haul trips, one to Dusseldorf, Germany later this year, and one to Toronto --> USA (multi-cities) next year. I'd like to fly biz class for both trips.
If I would only have enough AM to redeem biz tix for one of these trips, do you think it's better to redeem the Dusseldorf or Toronto (should be returning via San Fran) tix, bearing in mind that the purchased biz class tix will earn AM as well? I'm not sure how flexible AM would be for my Toronto/US trip, as I will need to stop by various cities (prelim itinerary: Toronto - Nashville - Kansas City - San Diego - Sacramento - San Fran). I know some people are really good with playing the game using stopovers/open jaw and OneWorld routing, but this is not really my forte.
Would be great if you guys can share your experience with! Btw, has anyone used a discount biz tix agent like iflybusiness?
Thanks and cheers,
Maya
