Kindaof. Using EY as an example, in DUB, going from the EY lounge to your EY seat is a 5 min walking journey, inc a lift down 1 floor. I'm not sure going from the platinum lounge to your seat on the plane would be either quicker or easier. I guess the fact you don't have to wait in the boarding queue is a plus.
To be fair, I've used EY as the example, and they tend to use stands that are at the start of the pier.
I see the advertisment being targetted at newly-weds, do you think that is a big chunk of the users ? €320 inc doesn't seem an absurdingly high price. If you are heading away somewhere for a 2-week honeymoon, then you are saving €50-€60 just on the parking. If you don't have lounge access, then there is another €50-60 for the two. So it's €200 for the novel experience and something quite a bit different. It's reasonable that most couples can not afford biz class, so it's a nice mini-upgrade.
