Anyway, I agree with fromYYZ_flyer's point: an African carrier would be important to give you access to a much wider set of destinations. Besides, if you're doing a RTW trip, the absence of an African carrier means that you can't go from one place to the other within the continent but rather have to go there from Europe and then return to Europe to continue your journey (or at most go to Asia on SQ).
The problem is what African airlines offer the same level of safety and service as the ones already in *A? South African certainly but it is at the very end of the continent which makes it unpractical. Royal Air Maroc and Tunisair have European-like standards (or so I hear, never flown either one) but they hardly fly to central and southern Africa.

So, does anyone have a suggestion of an African carrier that could join *A?
