New policy as described by nongsom is definitely in place.
Upon check in was told we were placed in a nice suite (x15), handed drink coupons, made to choose between breakfast or points, then led by an associate to our room. On the way she explained our benefits staying here as platinum level guests. No mention of laundry.
Side note for smokers: suites are marked non-smoking but there was an ashtray placed on the table in the balcony outside (???). I didn't smoke, but could be useful info for those who would want to.
Also there is a massive mosquito problem during the evening, so remember to make use of the
mosquito coil provided if planning to spend time outside on the balcony.
I was surprised airport shuttle costs additional 200thb p/p, but it does run every hour, around the clock. I'm guessing they bring it out on demand because you do have to reserve a spot in advance. Ordinary shuttle to the mall/BTS is free, but very limited frequency.
This is an enclosed resort type property. We passed through about 3 security gates on the drive in. Dining options are limited to on site, so either Favola or room service. Favola was completely empty on a Sunday night. We opted for in room dining and it was surprisingly top notch!
There were plenty of Chinese tour package guests playing golf, so take note of the implications of that. They also had their own special breakfast at Favola instead of Latest Recipe, which I think is a good thing.
