Bumping this. Will need 2 vehicles. After reading this, I see the work around to get the first car and come back for the second. However has anyone ever tried this.

Having the two vehicles with authorized drivers added online, behind each other at the checkout booth and when I present credit card/licenses let them know both rentals are mine. After they process the first car, simply get out and let the authorized driver drive out and then get into the second car right behind and let them process that one.
