CDG-AMS is either an AF or KLM fare. DL doesn't sell a flight wholly in the EU. Most intra-EU fares have heavy restrictions, a number including no changes even for a fee. It's use it or lose it.
They do, have booked one through Delta 10 minutes ago & since Delta, KLM and AF more or less use the same fare structure they have the same (dis)advantages. If you want to be flexible you simply ask for a M-fare.
