We stayed there last fall on a DSU, family of 4. The suite is spacious amd they accomodated us with an additional rollaway. The room is aging but is fine especially since you will be out and about at the property all day. Our sliding door was broken and woukd not close all the way. I had to patch it with towels as they were fully committed and coukd not move us. Diamond breakfast was in the cafe and very nice. Beyond that there we no additional diamond benefit. That said they provided exactly what was required. The pools and spa are very nice. We played golf and enjoyed that too. My wife followed in the cart and enjoyed the scenery. Do not expect a late checkout here as it is a resort. Latest ive ever gotten from them was 1pm. Self parking is easy. Plenty of tubes on the lazy river. Your. On property dining is nice but is limited to a few choices. Not sure how long your stay is. But your strategy about saving on car seats (what a racket!) is a very sensible tradeoff unless you have your heart set on the Austin dining scene.
