As I see it, there are three possible outcomes:

1. SN rebook our tickets on a REAL airline
2. We get our money back
3. SN keeps our money but doesn't let us fly and they want me or the TA to pay for new tickets to JNB.

I'd prefer #1, but SN are giving us #3
