Thanks SFO777 for the advance warning! Surely Lufthansa has a better service for you?

I would say there is a hefty chance of an aircraft substitution, either to longhaul version or to an Airbus. If CE is back that far, 12D+F would be better for embarkation and disembarkation. However if flying into the Eternal City during day time, it would be a pity to miss the view. A side generally best.
