Thanks for the great responses. The personal amenity kit is a great idea with all the good stuff like earplugs, eyeshades, toothbrush etc. My brother recently came back from a BA first class flight, so I might take his amenity bag. FYI, the flight is on Japan Airlines and is going to be quite full, especially on the second leg of the flight.(chinese new year and all). Maybe i'll skip the blanket but go for a nicer pillow. Any other suggestions?
