splitting the week works well. that's what I do when in Tokyo. I don't get discounts at PHT so obviously that's a good deal to me. I never stay at PHT for more than 4 nights because it's one of those hotels that I never want to leave or can afford for too many nights. I'll stay at Hyatt Regency for the beginning of the trip and get up super early and come back really late then leave the relaxing second half of the trip for PHT.
Great, appreciate it. We are in Tokyo for a Sunday-Sunday, so I think we will do a Sunday/Monday night at Regency, Tues/Weds somewhere TBD - (Kyoto, etc), and then Thursday-Sunday at PHT.
Surprisingly, the corporate rate at Hyatt Regency Kyoto is only 5000 JPY different. (35000 instead of 40000). The rate at the PHT, is 35,000, vs. 70,000 normal. Same with regency Tokyo - it's 17,000 instead of 35000. Maybe the Kyoto deal will get better - or maybe October is a busy time for them.
