Typically I take the NJ Transit train directly into Penn but because of typical Transit snafus, I ended up in Hoboken. Since I needed to go to the east side, I decided to take the PATH to the WTC and then walk to the 4/5 trains. I hadn't been on it since the terrorist attack. Well the pit of the WTC remains is there for everybody on the train to see. You go right through it but unlike looking down on to the site, you are at eye-level; you are there. Somehow I thought the trip would be completely underground. How wrong I was. It was startling for me.</font>
Very surreal. It was especially strange (for lack of a better word) for me when I took the trip into WTC a few days after the station reopened, for I was accompanied by three guys who made it out of tower one on September 11.
