You can certainly do that with AA. It's not free, though. You'll pay a fee based on how many miles you're transferring. To transfer 25,000 miles, as an example, you'll be charged $312.50.

Now, if you're thinking of ticketing a family member from your account, that's entirely different. You can have award tickets issued to whoever you want.
