KFEG Renewal Validity

Hi everyone,

I have just recently obtained my KFEG status in early February and my Gold card shows a validity until March 2017.

Now, by the looks of it, I will be getting the next 50,000 in a few months already. Now my question is which date will my Gold status be extended to when, let's say, I reach 50,000 by mid May 2016?

a) Will I get an additional year of KFEG on top of my existing status, i.e. it will be extended to March 2018?

b) Will my KFEG just be valid from the date of re-qualification, i.e. it will be extended to June 2017?

Needless to say, the latter would be pretty desastrous for me and I would have the miles accrued on one of my other FFPs of course. I am looking forward to your share of wisdom on this!
