I know this price is good, but it's not really shocking. Flights from Brazil to the USA have been consistently $200-300 less than the opposite; simply because the Brazilian airlines are fighting the keep prices even remotely affordable against the falling real.

I suspect fuel savings are helping them do just that, whereas in the US travel is at an all time high and theres little incentive to return the savings to passengers.
