FT is probably my only chance to get a real answer or insight into this problem. For the second week in a row I went from aisle in MCE to middle seat in the back. In both cases it was a 737 to the reduced seat 737 in seat 8c. It was once explained that if you were in a seat on the old plane that seat does not exist on the new plane, then you are left without a seat. That makes some sense to me. But since 8c exists on both, who was given 8c over me. I am EXP booked 3 months out and first on UG list both weeks (surprise nobody cleared).
Any advice where to select for future flights. Going to middle seat in the back 2 weeks in a row is kinda aggravating.
Even as an EXP for reasons totally beyond me if there is an a/c swap the system will shove you well into the back of Y, sometimes in a middle seat. As much as I hate to I always pull my reservations up about a week out to see if everything looks right. Waiting until you check in may well have you sitting in 30E for good.
