Having worked in the hotel business, I can tell you that ANYTHING can be stolen.
Including, lightbulbs, rolls of toilet paper, artwork (who would want hotel artwork?), pillow cases, telephones, irons, and my personal favorite: the Bible.
All of these things have been stolen from hotels I've worked in. People even steal the numbering off the doors. The lowest of the low: someone stole a wheelchair from a hotel I worked in in Colorado.

So, what would you do when items were missing? Did the customers get charged for artwork or phones?
