Yes Richarddd! At the Sydney Airport in December 2001, I had a Hilton sewing kit confiscated from my backpack (Louis Vuitton of course). The security worker gave me a really hard time about having a needle and safety pin in the bottom of my bag. The ironic touch was that we were given metal knives on the Qantas flight with our dinner and again with our snack.
