Taken as such, maybe, but one could also see this incident as a right-wing nutball fanatic denying someone who doesn't share their peculiar views something to which they are entitled, be it pursuit of happiness (champagne), life or liberty . And that is most certainly not pretty far down the list of pressing issues.
