If I was working up to Gold, that'd be great, but if I'm already at Gold, do those 10K EQMs put me any closer to the next level, or are they redundant? If they stack on top of the assumed 20K EQM, (probably not the right term but not sure what else to call it) that'd be one thing. If not, I'd rather apply that spend somewhere else.
Any guidance appreciated!
I'll put it another way:
You're Gold this status year, because you bought Boost (but you didn't earn any miles doing so).
For the next status year, beginning March 1 2017, you will have to earn 25,000, 50,000 or 100,000 EQM if you're not making status by segment.
If you spend $40,000 on your Citi Exec card before the December statement date, you earn 10,000 EQM. So that means this calendar year with the 10,000 Citi Exec EQM, you'd have to earn 15,000, 40,000 or 90,000 EQM through flight activity.
