For me the site seems to have gtten worse with every update. I've got the same issues as the OP here. The site is pretty much unusable for me. I've tried to buy tickets and have been unable to do so by just going to the site. I have had some luck searching via flights.google.com and then telling that site I want to purchase from United. But even those purchases have had issues ...
