The reason that TK prices tripled is that they dont offer premium economy (AKA comfort class) on their IST-LAX routes anymore and when you select comfort class while looking up for tickets, by default it gives you business class prices. congratulations on your new Elite Plus status, not trying to be party pooper but IMHO the only benefit you will get out of it is 2 annual free upgrades...talking based on my 7 years of Elite Plus status experience...
