Book Avis & La Quinta via SWA web site or not?
Good morning!

I was curious what the experts at FlyerTalk recommend regarding these loyalty programs. I could book both LQ stays and Avis rentals through Southwest... but I can't seem to wrap my head around the conversion rates and what's worth the most.

Is there a downside (extra cost, less flexibility) to booking them through Southwest instead of through their respective websites?
