I've just done another overnight, and yet again row 53 was relatively sparsely populated compared to the rest of the cabin. 53J was empty, and the passenger in 53F asked to be moved (and was found another seat). I think that word may be getting around about how noisy 53 and 56 can be.
The silver lining is that 52A and 52K can therefore often get out without having to step over anyone.
Have to admit I did notice the clatter from the galley from 53A, but i found the 789 worse from 7A. I'd take 53A (or mirror image on the other side) again as my first choice, great view and great space with the shelf and of course easy access. Glad to hear others don't like it, but both 53 window seats are taken on my march a380 flights...boooo. So took 53 middle instead.
