The Okura is definitely viewed by locals as one of the top addresses in Tokyo.

The Park Hyatt may be newer and more hip, and the Grand Hyatt expensive due to its novelty and marketing, but I would pick the Okura over those Hyatts for a more Japanese experience. Its location is somewhat more 'residential', though.

You'll find plenty of opinions about the many Tokyo deluxe hotels by doing a search in the Luxury Hotels (Four Seasons, etc.), Asia, and major chains' forums here on Flyertalk.

Breakfast goes for somewhat above Y2,000 in most deluxe Tokyo hotels, if not included. There are plenty of bakeries and 24-hour grocery shops for more economical alternatives, if desired.
