I wouldn't say that the drive's not pretty - there's Helsingborg, Gothenburg and some pleasant pieces of coastline - it's just that you have to take it in the context of the rest of Scandinavia, where there's some utterly stunning scenery around. And you'll see a lot more of the Oslofjord from the ferry as you wake up than you'll see from the road.
