This boxy backpack eats a 19" and a 14" laptop

So I tried with the Kata 205 PL but mostly failed: when the Sharp LL-S201A 463.8 x 25.2 x 274.8 mm (18 1/4" x 1" x 10 13/16") is in the laptop pocket, it can't be closed and when it's in the external backpack-strap pocket it's awkward to wear.

I tried the Magma Rolltop Backpack which obviously is big enough even for a AOC e2351f monitor but it's a shapeless bag and I am not in love with it to say the least.

Current attempt: Magma DIGI Control-Backpack XL. The internal laptop pocket is big enough for the Sharp LL-S201A, it's padded in all directions. The external backpack-strap pocket eats up the ThinkPad T420, has a closure (the Kata doesn't, another worry although of course the straps themselves make it difficult to reach this pocket) and it's comfy to wear even with the laptop in the internal pocket -- this is because the laptop can protrude towards the interior instead of forming a big bulge.

I am reasonably certain a Fractal Design Node 202 ITX case would fit in the main pocket should you want everything necessary for a LAN party in your carry on I would put the laptop in the personal item for weight reasons if you go there (or not carry it all. how many full PCs do you need on a trip?).

It's claimed to be 54 x 35 x 20 and my measurements concur so it's within the hand luggage size of practically every airline, US or EU.

I would love it even more if it would open fully, convertible style but I can just use packing cubes to overcome this and also the bag+laptop+monitor is 6kg already and many airline only accepts max 10kg so there's somewhat limited room weight wise on what you want to stuff inside.

If there's anything I am seriously not happy about it's the internal material not being velco friendly. Oh well. I am spoiled by the Kata Also, the laptop pocket closes with a wide velcro flap and the "receiving" patch due to the ginormous size of the monitor is mostly uncovered so adding a loop of velcro to that is possible which I will probably use to hang a pouch containing my mouse from.

I will post a video review soon.
