HELP - UA *A award, changed date, OZ says need new tix issued
Booked award using UA miles on OZ metal. Changed outbound date. UA shows new itinerary online and when I call. OZ computer canceled my outbound leg because ticket shows old date even though OZ conf # pulls up correct date. Got UA to put leg back in. OZ agent says she sees me, but without a reissued ticket that matches the reservation outbound date their computer will cancel it in a few days. (This happened last week and it got canceled despite UA telling me I was fine, luckily I noticed today and called in to get it fixed, but now I'm nervous.)
OZ insists ticket # shows old outbound date, which doesn't match rez outbound date, so their computer cancels the leg.
UA insists the ticket number shows the new date. I asked if they can reissue since the change doesn't show at OZ, or if there is a way to "push" the info to OZ as maybe some inter-airline system isn't working. UA says no.
On phone for 40 mins now. On hold while agent talks to supervisor again. I suggested maybe UA needs to call OZ and use magic airline speak words as I'm stuck in between.
Anyone have advice? Is there something I should say? Known glitch? Some SHARES command I should reference?
