Any more recent experiences? I just tried to book a hotel for a month after my certificate expires (Jan 2017) and was told that no hotels in Hong Kong have any availability for a week before and after my preferred stay date; that's also exactly what they told me when I tried to use the ITN free nights after the 31st of Dec 2015.

EDIT: False alarm. You can still book online but not over the phone.
