I didn't miss that. I was making it explicit in my calculations.

And your math is wrong and made out to be far more complicated then it really should be.
Okay, then show how it's wrong. You haven't done that. I'll accept it if you explain how I'm wrong.

You really don't need to run numbers to figure out if the combo is profitable or not. For instance,
Yes, you do need to run the numbers. This is a question of numbers. Yes, you need to do actual calculations to find out calculations.

If you use DC you make a net profit of 0.01%. In other words, you'll make $1 for every $10k spend.
This is wrong. The 1.99% fee is rolled into the total amount charged. That means you earn 2% even on the 1.99% fee. That means that you earn $4.98 for every $10 000 that you spend, a net gain of 0.0498%. In this case, you're wrong by a factor of almost five.

That's the point of running the numbers. If you don't, as you didn't, you end up getting wrong answers.

Does Access earn you More (pun intended) than DC? Yes. So, is it going to be profitable?

Does AT&T+Prestige combo earn you? Is is going to be profitable?
Yes, and this is why you need to run the numbers. How else are you going to decide if something is profitable? Are you just going to go based on gut feeling without running the numbers? Gut feelings don't work in computing profits. If they did, the stock market would be so much easier.

Disclaimer:

1) assume you have AT&T and Prestige

2) assume you're going to redeem for travel via transferring points and/or redeeming for AA. Otherwise why even have prestige?
Yes, and even when you assume all of this, it turns out the math doesn't work out in your favor. Point out where in my math I was wrong, and I'll accept that. You can't just say "you don't need to run the numbers" and then try to base your justifications in profit, something that is inherently numbers.

Edit: The only issue is whether it gets 3X on RadPad transactions. There's one report of such, but I haven't found others. But that's why I wanted to do the math. I showed what my assumptions were explicitly. I'll accept being wrong if the 3X is what you based your calculations on, but you would need to make that at least somewhat more explicit for that to be understood.
