I did the Towers Upgrade last time when I was in Hong Kong with a similar pattern and was less than impressed. I arrived early so I had breakfast on the day of arrival (the desk arranged that) - there is no way that you can have breakfast on the day of departure if your flight leaves at 9am (mine left at 9:10a, and I took the 5:53a Airport Express train from Kowloon station). But even with this I thought the value was only marginal for the towers lounge - the only "nice" touch was watching the Symphony of lights warm and dry from the Towers lounge. All in all I would not spend the points for the upgrade again in the future...
