Pullman Jakarta Thamrin

Introduction  So coming to my stay. I sent out an email as I usually do to the hotel GM - and I received a very quick response. The GM was not around but the lovely Executive Assitant Manager did. She was previously the Resident Manager of the Novotel Bali and only just recently joined. I have to say that she was very professional and a pleasure to talk to. (Thank you Estrella).Owners of thisproperty are the same as the Novotel in Bali. And they are stingy. Super stingy. They basically believe that they can have the business even without following Accor requirements - and this is where my gripe with Accor is: Property owners don't care and don't respect Accor.I have always stayed away from this property as it is well known that they are not as forthcoming with upgrades and most importantly, they don't partake in the Accor Plus benefits (the only property in Asia Pacific that doesnt do so). So this is not my "go-to" hotel. The Pullman Central Park is. However as I was having a number of meetings within the CBD, I would save quite a bit of time by staying here. Check In Here the pictures of the Accent Suite. It has a large foyer, two bedrooms, kitchen, dining area, large sofa area, meeting room and secretarial room. Bathroom has a couch in it lol.As I had a bit of time I asked if they could show me the new Accent Suite, which is basically the Presidential Suite. It takes up the complete 15th floor of the Tower Building. The day prior to arrival she confirmed that I would be able to have my early check in at 10am and that they would have the room ready. I checked in at the now completed Executive lounge which is nicely decorated and located on the 2nd floor of the tower building. Room Here are the pictures. The suite had a small kitchen in the living room - with cutlery, pots and pans and whatever you require to cook up a storm. What I don't like about the room is the fact that it is, really an Apartment. It used to be sold under Nikko Hotel times as a long-stay suite. The toilet in the living room space has electrical and water connection points for a washer and dryer (no longer there). The other problem is that with the renovation, they failed to add staretgic electrical sockets and of those available, very few are international. So to charge my phone next to the bed, I had to unplug the lamp and use an adaptor (AND NOT SWITCH OFF THE LIGHTS WITH THE MASTER SWITCH! - or else you'll have a dead battery in the morning.I booked the Grand Deluxe room and was upgraded to the Apartment Suite. The apartment suite is located on the 11th floor of the main building. Even though they face the lifts, the fact the room is devided into a living and bedroom space, you hear nothing from the lobby. Service Welcome Drinks voucher: Didnt get that - but I also didnt bother as I had the lounge access."VIP" treatment - The room had a plate with three pc of fruits. And that's it. The Pullman Central Park offers you some interesting bakes/salty treats in the room which are replenished daily and they also drop off a small gift (notebook / calendar / teddy bear etc). Nothing hereExecutive Lounge - Yes and very nice. Very curteous staff.Upgrade - yesPlatinum benefits: Overall I guess if you are in the area, I can recommend this hotel. Just be aware of its shortcomings due to the owners' stinginess.
