Looking for a secondary Star Alliance FFP to join to diversify my miles a bit. Or just get away from UA MileagePlus.
(1) What is most important to you in a FFP?
No mileage expiration or the ability to keep your miles with some small activity (such as a survey) once a year or so. Good award options hence why I'd like a Star Alliance program because they fly to most places that I want to go to.
(2) How many miles do you usually fly each year & in what class? How many flights/sectors?
Economy. I have bursts of travel in some years while others I barely travel. So it's all over the board.
(3) What types of fares do you usually buy ?
Economy.
(4) Can you choose your airlines and/or class of service? Airline most flown? Do you travel for work and/or pleasure?
Pleasure, I fly United most often.
(5) Which routes and airlines do you fly most often
US domestic - transcons, west coast, possible SFO-LAX next year
US west coast - Asia
(6) What is your home airport?
SFO
(7) Do you have FFP status of any kind in an airline? What is it? Do you have any miles banked in a FFP?
No status, about 60k UA miles which will be spent soon on award travel.
(8) Preferred Airlines
Virgin America. I'd enjoy not having to fly on UA but I end up flying UA a lot due to availability of routes from SFO & cost.
