Hmm interesting. So I emailed 1K after a crappy week of this process yesterday and got a phone call this morning from someone at the 1K desk (on a Sunday - talk about quick!! Kudos UA for that). I'll take our convo with a grain of salt but still saw a lot of value in it and she seemed to be genuine and knowledgable.

She asked me about the specific incident and shared they have been receiving numerous reports this week and that they will be presenting a number of findings to management in the upcoming weeks to see if some modifications are necessary. I asked some questions - one being would modifications mean elimination of this benefit and she said probably no but how they manage it may come into play. She did hint with allowing families to board while plane was being cleaned and no announcement (GA would find the families in gate area) to allowing F pax to board first then families, etc. doesn't like like anything has been determine but sounds like a number of complaints already and they are already looking at some sort of adjustment. I shared I support the idea but execution is the issue here.

Moral of story, send in your feedback as it happens - guess for once UA is listening perhaps.
