So what? I would think that the delay in taking off is the same or greater if these parents are boarding with the masses. You think I will be quick when I have to drag my baby from my seat and move a bag upstream because there is no room? You think it helps the boarding process when parents need to settle in with diaper bags etc when a mass of people is pushing behind them?

I get in the Group 1 line all the time with my baby girl and all that goes with it. I have 1K so hang around in that oh-so coveted group 1 line. Thank you all for glaring at me and cursing me silently.
My grandma would have slapped me on the back of the head if I displayed this lack of decency. [Moderator edit.]
Greetings from a dad with status... I'm your worst nightmare apparently.
A lot of it is NOT about what you said. A lot of it is about the implementation. If UA is not going to actually give the extra time between the parents with kids and group 1 then the new policy just won't work and will hold EVERYBODY up. It does no good to board the family and have group 1 hot on their heels. But it goes much deeper on the implementation side. In order to actually give the families more time they will need to either board them before the stated boarding time or make some other kind of adjustments to the boarding process to allow the gap in between. Yes, there were a few post like you describe, but I saw them as the minority and find it strange that you focused solely on those when there is MUCH more information and concern then just being in group 1 with a family in front of you. So please, actually read the entire thread before making such statements.
