TBF on a 747 I would go for rows 3 or 4 as the a/e seats (and presumably the other side as well) seemed closer to each other, (and therefore it's easier to combat any opportunities for wandering) rather than row 2 where they are a bit further apart. If you're buckled in it might be a bit of a problem.

I personally think the middle seats are more difficult to manage with the divider and whatnot, having the aisle separating us seemed to work better even though there was disturbance from the crew walking past.
