This is an interesting point. I was looking at F with my 4 year old and was presuming the middle seats were the only option. Would 2A/K be prefereble in order to combat any wandering, as in easier access and less disruption in the cabin? The little one isn't a wanderer but I prefer to cover the bases as well as I can.

TBF on a 747 I would go for rows 3 or 4 as the a/e seats (and presumably the other side as well) seemed closer to each other, (and therefore it's easier to combat any opportunities for wandering) rather than row 2 where they are a bit further apart. If you're buckled in it might be a bit of a problem.
I personally think the middle seats are more difficult to manage with the divider and whatnot, having the aisle separating us seemed to work better even though there was disturbance from the crew walking past.
